Panthers get Fred Graves (Titans) as WR coach

Panthers will hire Fred Graves of the Titans as their new WRs coach, according to my buddy Terry McCormack of TitanInsider.com.

Steve Reed just noted that Graves was Smitty's receivers coach at Utah

Britt, Gage, and Washington have been very solid. their QB situation is poo. that is whats familiar. Graves will do fine.

Hope he's better than his resume... only thing i can see in his defense (being optimistic) is he coached crap teams with crap receivers and seemed to always have them play better than expected. Time will tell what he can do with Lafell, Gettis, and Armanti.

Actually, this is more likely to be a 'nail in the coffin' of that particular story.

Graves was part of a staff that urged Titans owner Bud Adams to dump Young in favor of coach Jeff Fisher.

We still had Smith and Moose. We tried to address it with Colbert, Johnson, etc.

Tn just decided the position didn't matter.
