Pick 5 starting positions you would like to see someone replace who we had in 2010

I am going to assume that there is no free agency prior to the draft, because this is the scenario I believe is most likely.

1) OG/OT - I believe we trade our first pick away, picking up ~#10 and gaining a pick in the second round. Why trade? Because Luck did not declare, our defense performed well as is, we have no 2nd round pick otherwise, and there's at least 4 starting positions of need. Secondly, we are already throwing big money at our O-line now, Otah's return to dominance in 2011 is uncertain, Wharton's injured too much, we will probably be forced to franchise Kalil (securing him for only one year), we may have to run-block better in the absense of D-Will, and no QB will ever succeed behind the 2010 version of our O-line. As a unit, the O-line performed worse overall than any other Panthers unit. Several of these men either are or will soon be overpaid, and so I feel that O-line departures over the next years are imminent. The line is too important to the development of any QB to ignore for two years in a row. I say the first round pick is the only pick we use for need, all others are best player available, and our only truly obvious needs are (QB/OL/OG/DT) We cannot afford a gamble with #1, it has to pan out, which I say means a conservative but solid pick.

Fairley is of course the obvious other route because he seems to be a guaranteed instant starter, but taking Fairley means no second round pick.

2,3,4,5) in order by best player available.

TE - Any upgrade would happen in the second round, or come from free agency. But I confess that the only reason I even put this on here is because Rivera has been talking about a TE that can do it all. Without that statement, a TE pick would only be BPA.

DT - Could be taken at any time, including free agency. Its exciting to think we get a playmaker here on top of our great skill and dpeth at DE, but an upgrade isn't essential, only highly desirable. And our DEs got more opportunities when the DTs we have couldn't be ignored.

CB - At some point, Marshall's replacement will get drafted.

QB - It seem likely to me that we would both draft a QB3 and sign a FA QB to stir up competition. Only Clausen is guaranteed a spot, for now.

OL - Assuming I was wrong about our first pick, O-line players will be coming and going, that much should be obvious.

Our offense was in 32nd place in every categories other than running where we were 13th. Our defense was average in places and poor in others. That being said, as long as Otah comes back we should look for the following....

QB

WR

CB

FS

TE- Give Rosario a shot with Chud..... but I doubt it.

Beason isn't that good bro. Conner showed that and even he is a mediocre talent with above avergage intangibles. TD is made of glass and Anderson succeeded because of the scheme.

Kalil is ass. He's just the creme of the crap that is our offensive line. Deangelo turns 28 in April. That will be like losing 3 speed rating points in madden. We need to trade that dude because he's not effective anymore.

Stewart is a bowling ball that can't stay healthy. Even though he's never missed a game he can't stay healthy. Goodson's hands look like they're covered in baby oil, dude is useless. I'd seriously consider bringing in Herschel Walker.

We need to trade our 1st pick to PHilly for Vick and lock Jimmy Clausen up to an extension. Select the best RB on the board by our pick.

Seriously bro learn the game
