I wouldn't call Warner a shoe in by any means. Although he does have two NFL MVP's and a Super Bowl MVP, and a ring........

And to add to the not a shoe in part, I don't think that a HOF QB should ever be a drifter QB, or have to defend his starting position in the preseason, at least not until the game has almost passed him by.

In 10 seasons McNabb has thrown 194 TDs and 90 INTs making him the least intercepted QB per pass attempt in QB history next to Steve Young. He's also rushed for 3,109 yards and 26 TDs. When he retires (lets say for hypothetical purposes in 3 years, he's 32 years old) he will be in the top ten in passing yards, passing completions, passing TDs, QB rushing yards, QB rushing TDs, wins, win%, & playoff wins. McNabb will be a LOCK when he's done

There's also this matter...

Every Hall of Fame quarterback of recent vintage played several years with at least one receiver who was at best a Hall of Famer himself and at worst a consistent 1,000 yard receiver. McNabb has done this twice, in 2004 with Terrell Owens and in 2007 with Kevin Curtis. No other Eagle receiver has gotten over 1,000 yards the entire time McNabb has played there. Marino, Aikman, Moon, Young, Montana, and Elway all had at least one receiver go for 1,000 yards in over half of their seasons as starters. So have Favre and Manning. The only current Hall of Famer with a ratio similar to McNabb's is Jim Kelly, but he already has one of his receivers in the Hall (James Lofton) and a second who may be there soon. Tom Brady has only had a 1,000 receiver three times in seven years, but he'll have at least another two years or so with Randy Moss and Wes Welker so that will be changing soon. To be blunt, McNabb has had the worst receiving corp of any big-time quarterback in who knows how long. You can't find a Hall of Fame quarterback who didn't have at least one guy who is in the Hall of Fame, got 1,000 yards a bunch of times, or was at least known for making big plays.

McNabb is by no means a lock for the Hall of Fame. Neither is Warner, but Warner has a better case because he has a Super Bowl ring, and even in the games he lost he played well (i.e. he didn't retch on the field).

As to McNabb's receivers, it's worth noting that people used to say the same thing about Vick's receivers. They suddenly improved a lot once Matt Ryan got under center.

Don will be top 10 in every passing category that matters when he retires yet he's not a HOFer? Don has seen more NFC championships and division titles than the entire Panthers franchise (who I'd be willing to bet you consider a "successful" franchise with a "highly respectable" front office to go along with it) yet he's not a HOFer? He does have more INTs than McNabb though. We know how well he's played when he's had pro bowl/all pro caliber WRs (Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, Proehl, Boldin, Fitz) and HOF RBs (Faulk, Edge) but what did he do when he didnt have all world talent around him? He struggled to get 10 TDs in a season and looked like trash.

As for your Vick comment, how the hell do you equate McNabb (who's 1 of the best west coast offense QBs in NFL history with gaudy passing stats to prove it) to MV7 who sucked in the west coast offense outside of the fact they're both 2 black QBs you despise? I tell you what, you give the great Jake Delhomme Pinkston, Thrash, Curtis, and whoever else McNabb has had that he's obviously underutilized and held back from greatness and lets see if Jake can take them to an NFC championship or back to back winning years. Hell, Delhomme cant even win a playoff game with the best WR in the game and a top 3 running game at his disposal. Respect McNabb!

I backed up my statements with facts. You backed up yours with opinions. I analyze players based on their performance. You analyze based on their likeability and whether or not you think they're a "good guy". I guess thats how you can think Delhomme is so great (cuz u like him), and think McNabb is overrated (since you dont like him). Personally I dont care too much for Peyton Manning, but Im not gonna sit here and act like he's not the best QB in the league because I dont care for his personality. One day Ima see you make a thread praising some superstar black athlete (who's still active) for their leadership and contributions to sport. I wont hold my breath though.

Who knows whether McNabb will ever be in the HOF. However, your explanation as to why everyone does not revere him is because of race.....find a new tag line, this one is offically overused.
