5th best SuperBowl of all time ... XXXVIII

Still makes me angry when I see Kasay kick that ball out of bounds, then I remind myself that if it wasn't for his clutch kicking all season we wouldn't have been there...

but then, I remind myself that at least Scott Norwood at least kept his kickoffs in bounds...Kasay had a fundamental play to make...and the most precious thing was field position....both were epic in failure...one of the most unforgivable plays by anyone in Superbowl history...harsh but deserved..and yes he does and did make magic...just not on the most important day in Panthers and North Carolina sports history.

And yet if you look at the play by play of that game, the Patriots moved from their 40 to inside of our 30 in less than 20 seconds. They were in fg range with 47 seconds left in the game. Thats why, imo Kasay's kick was largely irrelevant because with more than a minute left, they still would have gotten in fg range even from their 20. The problem was not Kasay's kick, but poor clock management on our part, and perhaps poor play on the defensive side.

Yeah but 20 yards is 20 yards. A tackle in bounds its 3-4 more possessions..he not to blame just at the time when he needed to do do something hes done all season without fail he fails...at the worst possible time.

If you watch the end of the game the front lines were just leaning on each other because they were tired!! No push was going to happen yes...but we did pick off Brady earlier...tipped pass..we didnt get a chance, Kasay's legacy is this: Clutch kicker..consistent pro..Super Bowl kick off out o bounds.

Buffalo's Scott Norwood didn't lose the game for the Bills..Jim Kelly wasted a time out on the last drive as he got hit....still Norwood was to blame.

I don't think Kasy's kick out of bounds gets enough attention...but I digress :beatdeadhorse5::beatdeadhorse5:
