Clausen fails the 26-27-60 rule...

He just seemed more 'heady' than your stereotypical athlete. I guess that's the media PR machine in action, since I never bothered to watch an interview with him.

Yeah, funny how we stereotype the guy who visits cancer babies and writes bible verses as someone who had to of scored high on the wonderlic

:D

He actually interviews well, probably just a bi-product of the academic free ride.

McCoy and The Golden Calf of Bristol both looked good this year.

Really if there was a definitive rule that you could use to determine if a QB would bust then teams wouldn't throw away draft picks and whiff 50% of the time.

So did Trent Edwards when he was starting in his second year. Qbs more than anything can only be judged long term.

On topic, I actually kinda like the concept. It shows that the guy isn't a one year wonder, is relatively football smart and is moderately accurate. It's no surprise that these guys tend to have a higher success rate at the next level.

Too bad Brett Favre was never a good quarterback, he only had a 22

Vinny Testaverde 17

Dan Marino 15

Jim Kelly 15

Terry Bradshaw 15

it all goes back to the fact Clausen lacks just about every attritubute people look for on the NFL level.....what is the one thing about Jimmy that really stands out? He doesn't have a great arm, size, football IQ, speed/agility.....nothing stands out.

Guys like Favre or a Vinny T had rocket NFL arms. Gives them something. Big Ben had ideal NFL size. etc.
