He beat out Moore... :D

That is certainly arguable.

Moore was benched after two weeks because of in game play, not because of winning the job in camp. So Moore lost the job, more than Clausen winning a competition between the two of them. Clausen then lost the job over the bye week or whatever when there was a competition between the two.

Yeah, I know... I'm saying it half-heartedly.

It was more to take a jab at TRD's love. (poor #3 :()

i'm right there with all the clausen non-believers. but i will say this. don't underestimate the potential value and impact of coaching. shula and chud could work some magic. i'm not saying i think it's gonna happen. i'm just saying, don't be surprised if does. and this is why you bring in a vet rather than drafting now. you have to give the new coaches a chance with the young two young talents you have. if they don't like it what they see after a year, you go back to the draft. that's my two pennies.

He most certainly did not.

It was clear to anyone who watched the competition that Moore was dominant over Clausen.

Not even sure it was Fox's decision to bench Moore in week 2. He clearly didn't like Clausen and it seemed like a move to keep the fanbase distracted from what JR was doing.

Pretty sure Fox ended up saying FU and put Moore back in. Once he put Pike in for Clausen they IR'ed Pike so Fox had no choice.

It was like an insane chess match all year between two sides not speaking and obviously out to make each other look as bad as possible.

It's weird that people think I have a love affair with him.

I'm simply a fan of the best QB that was on the roster. Should I be a fan of someone not as good as him? This mindset doesn't make sense to me. Should I want the best QB on our roster to not return?

you might not have a love affair with him but that might be on your bucket list. :D

I think it was pretty clear that Fox was pissed at Moore for ousting Delhomme. Whenever a coach says "It's his job to lose" when talking about a starter, things are going to go downhill.

And for whatever reason, Clausen trumped Moore and Pike. Maybe a diabolical plan by Fox to ruin Clausen?

Nope. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Moore ended up in Denver if not here. I don't think Fox hated him like many have speculated. I think Fox wanted to keep Moore in all year but the FO forced him to play Jimmy because they picked him and Fox hates young guys.

Fox played Pike to spite the FO and he was instantly on IR to take the temptation of starting him away.
