see, blackcatgrowl, when you say things like "infested with racism" and "chorus of idiots" do you wonder why people take offense to your posts?

there was one post you've pointed out by someone who is admittedly strongly against black QBs and you've decided he represents a pervasive attitude of racism. on top of that, you then claim that this pervasive attitude is infecting the thoughts of other posters.

of course, when you get called on your ambiguous statements, you say things like, "WELL NOT EVERYONE, just SOME." You apparently don't want to name names but you want to cast a wide enough net to piss people off and discredit anyone who disagrees with you. Congrats.

I don't get what you have against Mr. Scot. He's one of the most universally respected posters on this board besides by people who have a love affair with Newton because all they see is race. You and KT are the only ones.

You look dumber and dumber in every post. You use one source as a point to debunk someone else even though that same person had your favorite player ranked low second round.

I don't have anything against Mr. Scot. Hell, I've repped him bunches.

I think the question is what he has against me. It's like I have one disagreement with the guy about a draft prospect and he's going out of his way to prove he is right, creating new threads on QBs in the draft, responding to my posts like it's a personal insult to him, and now insulting me.

Sounds like any challenge to his football knowledge or evaluation is a damnable crime.

It's really because anyone who is objective can see that whatever point you make or try to make is quickly proved to be wrong.

You said Cam had no issues with his footwork, his coach focuses on his footwork because he knows it needs improvement.

You called everyone a racist or influenced by racists.

You said one scout saw Locker as not a first round talent but say Cam is, that same scout said Cam is the 51st best player.

You say the guy who thinks Locker is a first round talent is an idiot, Mayock who is one of the absolute best comes out and says the order is Gabbert, Locker, Newton, Mallet.

Not one of your opinions can be grounded in fact or reason but you continue on and everyone who has anything bad to say is an idiot or racist.

I believe you even linked Bleacherreport one time as a credible source:smilielol5:

What thread did I create about other quarterbacks in the draft?

And for the record, what annoys me is any characterization that anyone - not just me - is some secret racist because they have questions about Cam Newton.

As I've said before, if you want to charge someone (anyone) with racism, either produce an actual racist statement or stop trying to impute racism without evidence.

All that does is drag the discussion into the gutter, regardless of who it's aimed at. We've already got someone who does that. We don't need anyone else :frown2:

Other interesting things to consider. The knocks that some websites have said about Newton are IDENTICAL to what websites said about Ben Roethlisberger. Bad foot work, not accurate enough, played in a spread and never took snaps under center, doesn't throw a tight spiral.

And NFL GM's don't uniformly agree with your assessments either. A CBS Sportsline article has GM's saying while watching his film:

"[Newton] could be fantastic!"

"Newton doesn't get enough credit for being one of the most accurate QB's in all of college football."

Another GM said he reminded him a lot of Ben Roethlisberger.

Big Ben was projected in a similar fashion as Newton is in this draft, and Ben's draft was considered to be a pretty weak draft for QB's but in hindsight was actually one of the strongest. Eli Manning was not a slam dunk number one overall pick, Rivers had a funky delivery and arm strength questions, and Big Ben played in a weak conference in a spread offense and had footwork and accuracy issues.

If the Panthers think Newton can be as good as a lot of NFL scouts and GM's think they should not worry about projections and just snag him.

So who actually is, other than that one poster in a completely different thread, who was torn apart in that thread by many of us?

Stop being ambiguous with your labels. Call it like it is. Tell us who in this thread is a racist or being influenced by racist thoughts or whatever bullcrap, or just drop the argument entirely and accept maybe we just disagree. I have no problem with you thinking Cam Newton is #1 in this draft right now, I just disagree, and I'll tell you I disagree. That doesn't mean I'm infected with racism or you're infected with racism it just means we see things differently, and that's fine.
