Jim Zorn fired in Baltimore

Mr. Scot

Maybe Flacco just isn't that good (Like TheRealDeal has been telling us) and they need someone to blame for it. Harbaugh isn't falling on that sword so it's obviously the Zorn's fault. I mean jeez, they brought in plenty of weapons for the guy and he just didn't do it.

Game Manager anyone?

Did you watch them play against Pittsburgh in the playoffs? Better yet, do you watch any football at all? Because your posts show you do not. If you actually watched the Ravens/Steelers game, Baltimore's receievers are what failed them. Not Flacco.

You see the dropped passes. I see Flacco missing a wide open Boldin on the 1st drive because he is locked onto Heap on third down.

Also, basing your opinions on one game isn't the way to evaluate talent.

Ohh he missed 1 pass. He must be a game manager! Talk about judging opinions based on 1 game. Pot meet kettle. Game managers don't throw 25 TDs to 10 INTs for the season.

It wasn't one play, that was just an example of the different way we watch games. Game managers most definitely do throw 25TDs to 10 ints. The guy was surrounded by insane talent on offense and had one of the better defenses in the league.

The previous year he put up similar numbers with not as many receiving options. So there goes your case.

Nope. The year before they just used Ray Rice more in the receiving game as an extension of their run game. Rice was top 20 in the league in receiving in 09. This year they got another receiving threat and used Rice to run the ball more.

Wait, did you just try and make an argument that a running back catching passes out of the backfield constitutes an equivalent in "receiving options" as Boldin and Houshmandzadeh?

Housh had 30 catches this year. 30.

Boldin had 60+ so it's not like they were both world beaters.

Ray Rice is one of the better all around backs in the league and they often design pass plays for him, this year not so much with the addition of Boldin.

Rice also had 60 receptions this year. He had 78 the year before. So he had about the same involvement in the passing game this year as last.

I can't believe you think Flacco is a bad QB. For the 2010 regular season, he's #7 in passer rating, #10 in TDs, and is in a 3-way tie at #11 in fewest interceptions.

That's not a "bad" QB sorry. By that same outlook, Big Ben is a bad QB too.

I never said he was a bad QB.

I said not as many receiving options moron. They added 3 extra this year.

You know, you're really not that good at backpedaling.

So since he's NOT THAT GOOD it means he's bad in your head? That's strange. He's an average QB. He's a game manager. There is nothing wrong with that, most QBs in the league are nothing more than game managers.

So quantity is more important than quality huh?

We added 5 extra receiving options this year.
