franchising Kalil is not smart because centers are lumped in with all the other O-lineman. So his salary is determined by the huge contracts that left tackles get.

Regardless, we would have to pay Kalil premium LT money which is a heck of a lot. It could happen, but it would be a tag and sign issue I would guess.

Would be kind of silly to tag someone before you have a conversation with them about whether or not they would be willing to re-sign with you.

We have to sign Kalil and Johnson. Tag Williams and work out a reasonable longterm contract. Front load it so that most of the money goes in our first two years of bringing this team out of the gutter. If not, just rent him for the year or trade him at the deadline if we're out of it for a team thats desperate. I believe we will get a contract done with DWill. He has stated he would like to stay and is a team player.
