How does one connect a manual pump to an existing electric?

My well guys aren't familiar with that application.

Not a big deal since I have a creek in the backyard, but if some bastage dams me upstream I don't wanna have to kill him.

They sell manual pumps that will fit down the larger well shafts alongside the pipe coming from your electric pump... among other ways, such as tying into the existing pump lines...

Most are more easily done during construction/installation of the electric pump than after, but it is very possible to do afterward...

If I wanted to spend a little more for the drilling, I could also just drill 2 separate wells pretty close to each other...

Another route you could go is powering your well's electric pump with solar or wind energy, therefore never needing the power grid to be on to keep the water flowing...
