My first ever homebrew is...

almost done fermenting. I am so freaking pumped. I will own my own brewery one day. This is the first step, I have been wanting to make beer for so long and I am so close to making it happen.

I will go in half with you, if interested.. :)

im surprised BB has not replied yet.

I've been spending less time on the Huddle as of late. Damn you, Twitter!

I'm jealous, Bruce! I've been meaning to homebrew for a while now. I've got all the equipment (even including a kegerator), so hopefully I'll actually do it soon.

Let us know how it turns out. Coffee stouts are one of my favorite styles.

This is OT but has anyone ever made their own hard cider?

Is it hard to do?

Not at all -- it's actually easier than brewing beer. If you want to start with a simple recipe, you just pitch yeast onto existing (non-alcoholic) cider and let it ferment.

Of course, you could collect your own apples, press them and make your own cider base first, but that's a lot of work. :P

My second ever brew is now in the fermentation process.

It is an American/Irish Red Ale.

I named it "Rusty Luck"

Garage Coffee is now in the secondary fermentation process, and I have added Oak chips to the Carboy to give it a smokey taste. It should be ready to bottle next weekend.
