almost done fermenting. :eek: I am so freaking pumped. I will own my own brewery one day. This is the first step, I have been wanting to make beer for so long and I am so close to making it happen.

Good luck with your first batch. Best advice is to be patient and don't over do/rush it.

I'm ready for Spring and a good honey batch, so I can start a new batch of mead.

I'm jealous, Bruce! I've been meaning to homebrew for a while now. I've got all the equipment (even including a kegerator), so hopefully I'll actually do it soon.

Let us know how it turns out. Coffee stouts are one of my favorite styles.

Not at all -- it's actually easier than brewing beer. If you want to start with a simple recipe, you just pitch yeast onto existing (non-alcoholic) cider and let it ferment.

Of course, you could collect your own apples, press them and make your own cider base first, but that's a lot of work.

It is an American/Irish Red Ale.

I named it "Rusty Luck"

Garage Coffee is now in the secondary fermentation process, and I have added Oak chips to the Carboy to give it a smokey taste. It should be ready to bottle next weekend.
