Dumbing down of Nascar.

Im talking with new system. 3 points for a win wont get them to race for the win. 50 point bonus and they will be beating and banging for the win.

Agreed

your racing hard for 3 EXTRA points

Both wreck each other

Both went from possible 45 points to less than 10 points depending on how many cars are out of race at that point

I would back down and take 2nd and 42 points rather than 10 or less

under the old points system, the winner got 180 and last place received 34. its not that much different really, just simplified.

using your scenario, 1st and 2nd would be racing for only 10 points, and if they wrecked, they stand to lose 146.

Yea, but it would be easier to make that up with some good finishes in the old system. This system one bad race and you are far behind because now all the points are so close.

kenseth had a horrible daytona 500.. started the season 36th i believe. a few top 10s and 1 win later and hes 3rd in points.

tellin you its pretty much the same, just less numbers to deal with. its all reletive. im kinda liking how the points are so close so far this season, and even the best will have a bad race or two. it puts a huge priority on consistancy, and thats what the best are. the cream will rise to the top.

    • I think a lot of wrs are going to go in the second round before we pick.  There are a lot of wr needy teams.  I think there will be a big run on them in the late 30s and 40s.
    • Interesting that they met with Walker three times and Cam Jackson twice.
