Dolphins targeting DWill

but it also means keeping your core talent you draft. if you keep drafting guys just for them to walk for nothing than exactly how are you building threw the draft?you are not building anything, you are developing guys for other teams.

Steelers drafted Plaxico (a big threat at one point in the NFL) and replaced him with Santonio Holmes (one of the bigger threats in the NFL who is clutch) , and then replaced him with 3 younger talents in the last 2 years.. last year, by the name of Mike Wallace, legit #1 in the league with speed and good route running. and this year drafted 2 rookies by the names of Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders. both have improved their route running quite a bit this year and have stepped up big..

and we are talking one of the harder positions in the NFL..

we aren't even talking about RB, one of the easier positions to replace..

basically I'm sayin, you resign the tough positions, not the easy ones that grow on trees.. now don't take that to be entirely concrete.. but in the grand scheme of things, it rings true..

no, we won't be going neutral or making it a weakness... we will be extremely solid.. and I will venture to say, exceptional.. Goodson can run, you all seem to ignore that..

I am not arguing that getting something for DWill isn't more beneficial... that isn't even a discussion.. but! you cannot control that at this point.. Fox had a lot of pull with the team, and we will have to wade through the wreckage of some bad moves..

what is a discussion is saying DWill isn't expendable...

which brings me to this \/

draft someone to fill his ST's role.. damn, speaking of bigger picture.. oh, and since you brought up bigger picture, don't you think having more cap room to bring in a Zack Miller type player would be more beneficial since we have Stewart, Goodson, and Sutton...?

damn.. it is annoying when people don't see the bigger picture..

Yea while were at it lets just bring in someone to start at QB and TE as well. Im sure we will turn this thing around with all these great replacement players we are supposedly getting. I mean it works on madden right... Why not in the real world.

you find a way to keep Dwill at all costs...bottom line

Why?

Why are so many fans obsessed with getting something for our free agents?

Williams has earned the right to be a free agent. It won't behurney's fault if he is not retained. He is NOT worth franchising. No team in the league is going to give up serious compensation for a 28 year old rb with health issues.

At this point, I don't even care if he does sign else where. I certainly don't expect any more healthy seasons out of him. Maybe he can, but odds are against him.

And this isn't Madden...ya can't make trades up just cause ya don't agree with a player becoming a free agent.

seriously?

finding someone to return kickoffs isn't like finding a QB in the draft.. way to bring up madden and look like the idiot..

no offense, btw... :)

you know what is dumb? all you idiots out there always talking about haters.. "You don't like this guy, you're a hater"

you know what? f**k YOU... for not knowing the difference between a real hater and an intelligent human being..

+1.

Now, you can throw around "hater" in a Clausen thread but 99.9% of the fanbase loves Williams. Stewart is a beast when healthy. Goodson is growing and can flat out run....another season of improvement and he could easily become a top tier caliber homerun threat (he is after all the fastest of the 3). Williams had stuff to work on at this point in his career....pretty sure Goodson knows what his two areas that need work in are.

Keeping everyone would be great....but putting the best overall team on the field is more important than building the best backfield in a passing league.

UGH I hate people that dont see the whole picture. If Dwill walks that leaves Stewart and Goodson. Goodson plays ST so what happens when Stewart more then likely gets injured??? Thats right our team regresses in RB and ST because Goodson has to be pulled. Add in the fact that Stewart has not finished a whole season and bam we lose games because we let Dwill go.

Stewart hasn't finished a season?

Please post links proving the fact.

The fact is, williams hasn't finished a season in over 2 years...and he shares the load.

The ONLY time stewart has missed, was due to concussion, this last year.

Please, stop talking out of your ass. Just stop with the ignorance.

Key words here.

Dwill is by far the best RB we have and he also put the ball on the ground the least. I cant say that about Goodson.

santonio was traded away bc of his off field issues, so thats the only reason he was replaced. ab and es are ballers but have a franchise qb getting them ball.and plax was a cancer in that locker room.

what im saying is how can you get the most out of a player if all you going to do is develop him for the next guy.you dont let good players walk for nothing.

the steelers also drafted other guys who are on their 2nd contract with the team.

LOL yea and we have been super good at finding those guys right....

and you just pointed out Goodson being a drafted player being pretty good at it.. lol

Oy vey...

Fox has never made that an important find.. he's also gone, erase what you think you know and get ready to see how Rivera does this..

I don't care why they left.. they were replaced..

and RB can be replaced.. You sign the Beason's, Kalil's, Smitty's, QB (vacant), Peppers..

You don't put a lot of cap room in a RB when you have 2 sitting behind him with a good 3rd in Sutton.. that's all I'm saying, and there isn't much of an argument against that main point...

know this... I definitely agree with you.. ;) just not when it comes to RB, especially in our situation..
