Flattering comment about Fairley.

Wasn't Suh playing much harder competition?

and lol you can't compare them Fairly is nothing compared to Suh. Suh is a much better prospect. Fairly is a nice DT prospect. Suh is perfect DT prospect.

Based on what analysis? Oh that's right.....pulled it out of your ass.

The competition that Fairley played in the SEC was every bit as tough as the competition that Suh played against in the Big 12.

Fairley reminds me more of Warren Sapp......build, explosiveness, attitude, etc... And yes, I would take a Warren Sapp on my team.

Madhatter you always act like you have a chip on your shoulder, all your posts are defensive its getting old. Are you sexually frustrated or something? How can I pull a question out of my ass? Believe it or not that was an actual question, my second statement was my opinion.

and go jack off, take meds or something thanks.

I'm beginning to think that our "need" at DT may be unwarranted. Seeing as that the Rivera defensive DT and the Fox defensive DT are asked to do two completely different things. I'm not sold we need a DT as badly as a QB or WR or CB anymore. Then again.. we could use one.. you know.. Just to be safe :D

Wah...Wah....Wah......you still sound like a whiney little 10 yo girl.

You are a typical ill-informed fan.

"Fairley is no where near the talent of Suh....Why...because I say so".....thanks for the analysis

Eh i could see why people think Suh was better, due to the media attention he got during his college years. But, looking at it from a football mind perspective they are about the same, both can handle double teams, both of their footwork is great, they are quick off the line..and can get into the backfield(Speed, Strength or just disciplined technique)..I mean both had pretty identical stats in their last years of college, the big difference to me is Fairley was doing this in the SEC West..by far the best group of teams in the country. Sure..both had their share of cupcakes but playing at a high lvl vs LSU, MSU , Bama, Arkansas..to me shows a lot.

Agreed.

None of us know whether Fairely, Petterson, Green, etc.. are going to bust or be beasts in the NFL. If we did, we would all be working as scouts and employed by NFL teams.

Fairley has the tools to be nasty in the NFL. Will he? Yet to be seen.

Individual stats do not tell the whole story my friend.

Fairley played for an Auburn team that averaged 41.2 PPG. Meaning opposing offenses were playing catch-up most of the games. Auburn's offense allowed their DL to pin their ears back on almost every play.

Nebraska's offense averaged only 25.1 PPG in 2009.

Also, Fairley averaged about 4 tackles/game. Suh averaged about 6 tackles/game. Two tackles per game may not seem like much, but in the NFL it is the difference between Jon Beason (121) and Kirk Morrison (89)

But, if Auburn opponents were playing catch-up and not running the ball, Fairley would have fewer "tackles" per game.

Love how you discount individual stats....and then use another individual stat to try and prove your point.

Fact is that both had fantastic seasons. Both are freak athletes. And none of us have a clue how he will perform in the NFL.
