Def Leppard - Hysteria tour - 12/20/1987

It was the first rock/metal concert I'd ever gone too. I was just 12 years old, and my parents didn't know I went until 5 months later. I had almost pulled off the most elaborate scheme of sneaking I had ever engineered in my small life.

This was the first of dozens of shows I wound up going to until I couldn't mosh anymore (around 26 or so). From Metallica to Megadeth, Ozzy, Anthrax, Overkill, Pantera and dozens more. But in terms of stage production, none were as good as that Def Leppard show.

WOW, yous have said quite a few I completely agree with.. Some of yous surprised me with your response...

Nashville Pussy -was lots of fun..

Misfits -were kinda cool, wish I had been old enough when Danzig was up front..

2 Skinee -never failed to make me dance my ass off, seen them at least 12 times...

DMB- saw them for free like 6 times before they blew up, then refused to pay too much to see them. A buddy had an extra ticket 2 summers ago, I was really taken aback at what a good show it was...Their versions of Burnin Down the House and Sledgehammer were bad ass...

Deftones - exactly right, the late 90s. After 'Around the Fur' they turned garbage...

311 -Havent bought a CD since the self-titled as I have my own personal reason for knowing they're complete douchebags, but Ive only been to 1 bad 311 show, out of easily 20+. They opened for Cypress Hill and the whole night was a disaster, had half ounce of some goooood taken from me at the show, never been searched at the Boathouse before then...

Tool -another solid live group

Pink Floyd - Went to Charlotte for the Division Bell tour..fu_king awesome...

Sublime - They played here in Norfolk 6 weeks before Bradley passed. So glad I got to see them in a little club...

Slayer -Enough said...

Clutch -the band Ive seen most, prol'ly 30+ times. If Clutch plays inside of a 4 hour drive, I would go see them. Got my 1st, and only DUI in Nags Head leaving The Pit after a Clutch show. I went to see LimpBizkit because Clutch opened, and I have never left a Clutch show disappointed.. Never...

But the best show has to be the 2005 Hardcore Superbowl.. An all day event in NYC, drove up, watched the show and drove back to VaBeach in 26 hours. There were a few unknowns on the bill, but I got to see Killing Time, District 9, Crown of Thornz, Murphy's Law, Madball, and Vision of Disorder reunited for that show..

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
