since he is finsihing his degree. his visit is probably more of a "hello visit". I would imagine he will be at Notre Dame and away from the Panther stuff until summer.

Well I am happy to hear he is finishing his degree. When a player gets a lot of money in the NFL I know it must be hard to decide to finish college. I think that it is a good decision to make.

I must have missed it. I was under the impression he was still deciding and might not even come back for his senior season. I thought he knew baseball was the way for him and didn't think he'd get a chance in football.

Clausen is going to do whatever it takes to become a decent NFL QB. He's more than got the passion and work ethic.

The big question is, can he become the leader he needs to be to be good or great?

What? He needs to learn to be a QB, then maybe we can question his leadership. Right now he has neither skill sets, most QBs usually have at least one or the other.

Looks pretty promising today at the Senior Bowl, will see how the rest of the week goes. He does need work with his footwork and continue work on his release but he is a very intriguing prospect that could rise up draft boards.

He looks like Vince Young as a player with better zip behind his balls. Kaepernick has a Phillip Rivers type release, kinda of a long one but gets the job done. Plays from the Pistol offense, so will need time to adapt to taking snaps from under center, dropping back and learning a pro style offense.

Kaepernick will need time to continue to develop as a QB at the Pro level, but he is someone I can see becoming a starting QB in time. He has the size, he has the accuracy and arm, he possesses rare athleticism for a QB and he mentally gets in unlike a guy like Vince Young.

Definitely a guy to keep an eye on.

Mayock had some good things to say about him.. definitely a project, esp his release, but has the physical traits to be a good QB.. we'll see if he has the mental capacity to play at the NFL level in a couple years..

Good. I think he has what it takes to improve himself. To at least get to the level that Delhomme was at in his prime (minus the fiery attitude, but that kind of attitude is rare).
