Next up: Senior Bowl

For those of you that have it, NFLN will be broadcasting the practices this week leading up to the game with Mayock and Charles Davis, two of the most knowledgeable guys in the game, especially draft-wise stuff...

They offer interesting insight into the players throughout the practice.

Speaking of Jake Locker, I'm really starting to change my mind about him. First play of 7 on 7s, as Mayock is talking about his issue being accuracy and no balls should hit the ground, Locker throws an INT. No pressure, simulated rush, nothing. Just throws a pick. 2nd throw he throws about 5 feets over the head of a checkdown in the middle of the field to the RB.

He blows. Sure, he has the measurable and potential. But he just isn't a good qb. I can't wait to see what that returnoffox guy has to say about this. He was a Locker nuthugger

I watched the 1st practice and I was very impressed by the two WR's from Boise State. The really fast one (I think his name was Titus Young) absolutely burned Kendric Burney (CB from UNC) in a 1 on 1 drill. That guy is going to be a big time playmaker in the NFL.

and I consider Burney a pretty decent corner prospect

I watched the kid play all year. He is a great WR and has made some clutch plays. He was the WR for Boise State and he made a great catch that set up Boise State for a FG that would have had them had a undefeated season. Unfortunately the FG was missed and Boise lost the game.

I think the kid will go in the 4th or 5th round but if he played in a different conference he would probably been a 1st-2nd round pick. If we don't draft Green then I would love for us to get the kid in latter rounds. Getting Young instead of Green would allow us to fill more important needs with our first and 3rd round picks.

i doubt titus makes it out the 2nd round.the guy is a big time player.

I don't think he will go that high because he hasn't had that much hype because of the competition he has played against.

BTW I was wondering why people were so high on Locker to begin with? He has never been that great. I remember last year when Kiper Jr. was saying he was soo good I thought to myself how can a qb with those kind of numbers be considered a top qb? He has never had a completion percent over 60 which is horrible for college.

McShay tweeted this yesterday:

"spent all night studying Illinoios DT C. Liuget. He's a beast. There's not much separation between Fairley, Dareus, and Liuget. (in my opinion)"

I only point this out to show that there will be a lot of players moving up and down the mock drafts in the upcoming weeks with the Senior Bowl, Combine, & Pro Days. It is possible that by the time the draft comes around, teams will realize that this is a very deep draft for DT which would make drafting Fairley #1 not such a sure thing.

Totally agree

There's a thread in draft central about the quality DTs in the draft. I think Kendrick Ellis could be a beastly beast
