Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards?

It should be noted that LaFell could very well end up receiver #4 or 5 next year. He was drafted solely because he fit Fox's system of being a big blocking #2 receiver and in most NFL offenses, the #2 receiver must be able to be a viable threat in the passing game.

Depending on who we bring in, LaFell might see little playing time next year unless he can make big strides.

I disagree. LaFell has shown that he can be more than a receiver that fits John Fox's system. If he played like he did at the start of the season then I would agree with you but he has improved a whole lot since then and can finally catch the ball, and he has good speed and can block. I would say #3 receiver at the least. Him and Gettis will be fighting for the #2 spot.

I think Gettis beats him out easily and Smith is #1. So depending on if we bring anyone in or get Green like some suggest, he could be relegated to 4th and not many teams run 4 wide sets, especially with the heavy emphasis the coaching staff put on an every down tight end.

It'll be interesting to see. A completely different battle than last year at camp that's for sure.
