I agree on both counts.. I don't trust Edwards.. he is a luxury for a team to bring in for 2 years..

Most peoples argument against Holmes was that he would miss the 1st 4 games and if he got in trouble again could be out for a season. I still was one of those that said that deal would make the Jets look good.

They will keep one of those receivers if not both, and Holmes is better. We could line up Smitty and Edwards beside each other and see how often the other can catch the dropped pass.

I wish Jordy Nelson would have been the Packer receiver who was a free agent vs James "sir drops a lot" Jones. Nelson will be a free agent next year, but if I were the panthers, I would trade for him now. Nelson is a better option than either Holmes or Edwards. Smith, Gettis, Lafell, and Nelson would be quite a receiver core. (In fact, I think Nelson would be a starter on that squad, with Smith on the other side.)

I would love to have Holmes. Sure off field issues but I don't think he has had but one issue. He is a beast and I would love to have him. I don't know how much he will ask and I don't know if he would want to leave the Jets or play for a rebuilding team but he is a champion and in my opinion one of the best Wrs in the NFL.

I like Edwards but he drops way too many passes. He is a beast and I love watching him make plays but He will probably want too much money and I would rather have a WR that can catch the ball.
