Hope some of you guys can make it out for this. I really wish I could. You'd think with only 4 classes I could manage to make it out. Alas, I can not.

It's going to be pretty awesome to see the Fantasy Draft this year. Staal being a captain is really cool. Especially with the likes of Lidstrom being the other captain. Big honor for our boy.

8:00-9:30 pm: NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft (TV:Versus)

Saturday 1/29

10:00 am: NHL Fan Fair

10:30-11 am:30: Steven Stamkos Autograph Stage

12:00-1:00 pm: Jeff Skinner Autograph Stage

3:00-4:00 pm: Rod Brind'Amour Autograph Stage

7:00-9:00 pm: NHL Super Skills Competition (TV:Versus)

Sunday 1/30

10:00 am-3:00 pm: NHL Fan Fair

4:00: NHL All-Star Game (TV:Versus)

I read that they may use rookies to replace injured players not able to play in all star game. With Skinner leading all rookies in scoring he has a good chance to play.

So who does Staal take? Obviously Cam Ward is bound to be his first pick. Then what? He already has Ryan Kesler and Mike Green as alternate captains, 2 solid defensive players. Does he go offense and take one of the Sedin twins? Or does he look to get a d-man with his 2nd pick?

You'd think they would advertise the Canes in Charlotte too, but get outside of the triangle and you would be hard pressed to find anything hockey related.

Heard the same thing. Rumor is that Staal and Lindstrom have a deal that the last player picked in the playground draft will be Ovechkin.

We are going up for the Skills Competition on Saturday. That is even more fun that then All Star game itself.
