Need info on Atlanta

One time I was down there at six flags with a few friends. I was thirsty, so I decided to get the water from one of the water fountains. As I was bent over drinking, a hand came down on the back of my head and dunked my head into the water flow. I turned around, angrily expecting that one of my friends had done this to me.

However, it wasn't one of my friends. It was foghorn leghorn. I was in such shock that he walked away before I could even say a word.

FML.

Like I said this is putting the cart before the horse. If I get the job I would be working near the airport. Im thinking Peach Tree City would be the easiest commute plus I would work off hours so traffic wont be a problem usually. I used to drive through Atlanta 15 years ago but besides that never been.

What I really want to know is Ive seen places downtown that was actually decent price and looked nice. But how far is it to the mountains.

If I get this job it would be my retirement job and down the road I would want to buy a place in the mountains for the weekends.

The traffic on that side of Atlanta was never very bad. PCT is a whitebread suburb. Depends on what you are looking for really. Do not live close to the airport. Hell move to Auburn. It's only about an hour commute.

So its a upgrade over Detroit.

Yes. and if you want the mountains to be closer go with Alpharetta, or Marietta (Suburbs to the north) Note that Alpharetta is in Fulton Co. even though it is 30 mins outside downtown. So you will still be paying for poor ghetto kids subsidized education...

Live in Cobb Co if you want close to the city, nice area, and closer to the mountains.

These are the only 2 suburb areas I have knowledge on and of course this is all here say from people that live there.

Auburn is 30 minutes from where i live. Its longer than an hour from auburn to wherever he's going. Auburn is a white trash place anyways.

that was the vibe I got when we were in ATL for the USC/AU game. Lots of creepy old drunk men too, but I guess u can find that anywhere.

It took me 1 15 minutes going 80-85 mph to get from auburn to the airport. Did that trip close to 50 times. Not sure about white trash either. Lived there for 4 years. It's a college town.

Well going that fast i guess lol. Well i'm a city person so not real big on small towns. It's all white trash to me. What colleges are out that way?
