my main reason for hating the steelers is that I am overwhelmed by the fanbase. I went out to walmart and harris teeter yesterday around noon, and I poo you not, I couldn't look any direction without seeing some black or yellow. 43s were seen most, but also hats, t-shirts, hoodies and other typical gear.

truth be told I just want to see panther colors be that prevalent in a town where they should be.

back when they had another hall of famer at QB, they won a lot of Superbowls..

Since they drafted Big Ben they have been a pass first team. When you have an elite QB it becomes easier to run the ball. Plus they have dynamic speed recievers.

Well no franchise is going to be a Super Bowl contender every single year for 30-40 years, but name another franchise that has been to 8 of them over that span and has at least been competitive and usually made the play offs even in the "down" years.

well, long before Big Ben they were always true to their identity. Run, play D....and play tough old school defense.

Fox as much as he is considered a 3 yards and a cloud of dust coach that likes defense.....late in his career in Carolina seemed to get away from what he team was suppose to be at odd times. 08 and 09 as prime examples. Often boring football worked and appeared to be the right thing......but Fox would then get away from it.

they are prob'ly the only team that has never changed philosophy's through all their coaching transitions and have been consistent winners through it all..

I grew up in a Steelers household.. big fan, luckily Richardson brought Carolina our own team.. the point still remains, and the only one I was raising, they needed a QB for every SB..
