Should be updated before the deadline (hopefully). Otherwise, the free agents won't be listed to bid on yet anyway so those people can have a little longer to franchise.

And people should go ahead and designate who they want. It's not hard to look over the pending free agents and pick out the top one you want to keep.

Do we know how many teams are 'yet to report'? Just a bit worried that people miss out on FA and then bitch and moan and give up :S

Can I ask how you came up with the available spending money?

There wasn't a complete list of cap space for each team. Basically I went through and added up the 2011 contract amounts for each team. The RFAs and lower end URFAs that we are assuming in this mock to stay with their original teams I carried over their contract cost from 2010. Certain bonuses I counted, unlikely to be reached and optional bonuses I did not. This does NOT in any way give you an exact accurate figure for cap space. But I used the same method for each team so even though the numbers are off, they are off for everyone so nobody really benefits. (does that make sense? lol)

BTW doing that was a total pain in the ass, everyone give me rep kthx.

Can we increase it in any way by releasing people?

I'm thinking no on this. Too much of a pain to keep track of and people will want to dump half their team just to have spending money.

There are still 4 teams that WalterFootball hasn't listed their top free agents, Jets, Bears, Steelers and Packers. That site has been slacking and hasn't been updated for a few days. I'll see if they are up tomorrow morning but it's looking like we should push back the start of free agency by a day or two. Might be a good thing as there are still alot of teams that haven't designated their franchise tags yet.

good idea. we should make sure that everyone is active and aware of the timeline.

Also, if anyone has not posted their depth chart by the start of free agency, they should be PM'd and if they don't post one up or reply within 24 hours, then they are booted because they are plenty of people who want in (especially users with low post counts).

It's ok, there's a 3 day waiting period before a player is officially signed to the highest bidder. So all FAs are guaranteed to still be there Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning.

Ton of people haven't set their franchise tags yet, be thankful that WF is slacking or else I might have just said oh well you guys are SOL.
