this below... I usually appreciate where you are coming from, but if you truly feel this way, get over it.. lol

when he can't even name the team he played on before and the time he spent here, then why in the hell would you expect different from me? ;)

I'm not the one who is having trouble getting over things. If people are curious as to how he's doing then fine, we're all fans of football in general. I'm still surprised that so many people hold animosity and they have to insist on trying to tear the man down. It's pure negativity.

Rodgers had all day, sure he moved around from time to time when someone finally disrupted the pocket, but that's a far cry from Peppers was the reason Rodgers had to run around all day. ;)

Johnson has done well to replace Peppers... nuff said.

pep made rodgers step up in the pocket, and move around.johnson had a helleva season and now its time for him to be continue to get better as a starter.

Never seen such bitterness towards one player, it's pretty crazy.

I guess it's that ex girlfriend type scenario where you stalk them on FB and talk sh*t to all your friends about how her new BF isn't anything special and how dumb her wall updates are.

People wouldn't be nearly as bitter if Peppers wasn't a Tar Heel. I kind of hope we draft Robert Quinn or Marvin Austin, just because it will bother the poo out of some of these people.

most of the time at some point during a forum discussion, the stance of someone's main feelings changes from their original point to a discussion inside of a discussion..

I know that I said a lot to say nothing there, but what I'm talking about is whether the topic is Cam Newton or Fairley -vs- Green or Great D -vs- Great O...

before a discussion starts, most people don't have a huge investment in the side they choose.. For instance, I think trading down in the draft is the best move, but the possibility seems highly unlikely (and most likely because the trade value won't be worth moving down)... so I think Green is the best move. That isn't to say I'm going to be mad if we draft Fairley, but the stance I'm going to take is if a lot of people say "Fairley is the best move" will be to point out all the reasons it isn't the best move. Some people (usually half-wits) will then label me a Fairley hater. And throughout the entire discussion, I will only reaffirm that to people because I have a list of reasons why Fairley isn't the best option, or the no brainer pick. When actually, I'm nothing close to a Fairley hater, the idea is ludicrous. I'll be glad we have a DT with a lot of potential and a high ceiling.

The same goes with Peppers.. Yes, there are a few people who actually have a lot of hate towards Pep. but there are more people who just like pointing out that Pep isn't the greatest DE in the league because of some flaws he still carries. Naturally, those people will get grouped in as haters, and it's hard to not see it otherwise because they are pointing out flaws..

my point is it's really not about Pep so much as it is about pointing out to the "other side" of the coin who seem to think Pep was worth every penny, when there are valid reasons why he was not..

when someone is (in my view) wrong, I have a bad habit of talking a lot of poo. The arrogance to smack people with those reasons is most likely where it becomes easy to group them with haters...

so after writing all this, I've only reaffirmed to myself that I'm long winded and can get carried away on a rant rather easily...

anyhow, people true motives may look like they are trying to tear someone down, but really it's not quite that cruel of an intention.. it's to point out that we didn't really drop off like a few people "just knew would happen", when really CJ has stepped up very nicely.

We do have a pass rush, and need to acquire a DT from some avenue to help our DE's out..

of course I don't speak for everyone, if anyone.. there may be a few replies to this post sayin, "f**k that, peppers can go where receivers go to die".. ;)

pep made rodgers step up in the pocket, and move around.johnson had a helleva season and now its time for him to be continue to get better as a starter.

no doubt, and I'm definitely glad to see our DE's growing into their new role..

I remember when Peppers and Smith were in their prime, and we had a good team during those years. Now Peppers is gone, Smith is old, and we have a QB worse than Jake Delhomme post surgery. Peppers was never a consistant player, but there were times when he played like a god, and other times when he vanished. I wish Peppers the best of luck, and I hope we can have players of his talent level again in the future.

For the record, I'm not bitter or anti-Peppers... still have his fathead up in my mancave and still wear any one of my 3 authentic Peppers jerseys at any given time, lots of fond memories of his time here and I'm also a UNC alum.

I'm just stating what I consider to be a matter of fact, his performance today was underwhelming for a player of his talent level and compensation... we saw the same thing here in Carolina at times, the guy has a bad habit of going MIA in big games.

I just don't see how anybody can claim that Peppers was ineffective. I don't care what his numbers were, but Green Bay was double teaming him early in the game because they simply couldn't block him one on one, which freed up other pass rushers. Anytime a guy has to be double teamed, he is obviously being effective.

No they weren't. It looked like he got some pressure when the backup LT was in and they gave that guy a hand once or twice, but it was Clifton vs. Peppers most of the time. Clifton won.
