(This isn't a political thread so don't ship me over to the Tinderbox).

But I was wondering assuming he has a non-compete clause in his contract with MSNBC. Would he be in violation of that contract if he took a job with ESPN or the MLB Network?

The article I read said that MSNBC had a non compete agreement that would keep him off the air for a substantial amount of time. I think that would apply to taking any on air gig. I did read another article where he might be a contributor/writer to Aaron Sorkins new show about a cable news commentator.
