And if the CBA doesn't get done?

I have been wondering and since I am not clear maybe on of our genius members can clear it up for me.

What happens if the deal doesn't get done?

Guys like D'Will, Beason, and others won't have a contract.

Will other teams jump on them or will there be a freeze on movement? If so, these guys are without a paycheck, what then?

I know if there isn't a season then the draft order stays the same.

Who knows the ins and outs of this mess?

No CBA = No contracts being signed by any players = No football = No paychecks for players = those players who have not saved and invested their money wisely, working at your local Wendy's (or Bojangles, but I think Jerry's may be too cheap to hire them)

Is TD past the restricted 6 yr mark? Maybe that is what JR was doing. Maybe since they are Restricted if another teams signs them they have to compensate us..

2010 was his 6th season on an NFL roster, so yes he is an unrestricted Fa regardless.

I would suggest that no teams would consider going after RFAs, because the draft might be the single biggest resource for stocking the roster. So I would say all RFAs that are wanted by their team would be retained.

What is going to be interesting is if the CBA IS sorted, what happens to the RFAs. One of the things players want is bringing FA forward, so it would at worst go back to having completed 4 seasons. I guess this year would remain the same regardless and the 2012 off season would have the new rules.
