Don't be surprise if the Panthers move in next few years

What, that Cleveland Browns fans thought the possibility of their team moving was a silly notion...right up until it happened?

Now in '93 I was 7 so I don't know first hand what happened there but from what I've read the owner wasn't happy, made a threat to leave and followed the threat threw, at this point nothing like that is happening, even ARSEN himself said it was a 80% chance, and for all that matters at the moment it might as well be 0%.

Yes, he threatened to move if he didn't get a new stadium, but the fans never thought he'd do it. The Cleveland Browns were an institution. That is why they sued to keep the name and colors and all of that (first jilted city to ever do that)

The whole thing was going on for a while with the new stadiums and Modell losing a lot of revenue over it. The Browns fans knew that Modell was unhappy with the situation. In Charlotte there is no issue and no pressing reason for JR to leave because the stadium is making money and Charlotte wants to keep him here.

Charlotte won't lose BOA. The government just gave them hundred of billions of dollars and will continue to do what they need to to keep it going. BOA is too large to fail and until a few years ago was well run and very profitable.

Los Angeles Panthers....Carolina Panthers.

You're Mark Richardson. LA is offering you a sweetheart deal. The banking industry is leaving Charlotte.

It's not out of the realm of possibility is all I'm saying and, if I read the OP correctly, what the guy who started this thread is saying.

My point exactly. Im a business major (accounting/finance) and more than likely I wont find a job here when I graduate and it's a banking city...

and BoA did? Spend 10 millions on superbowl party? This is not a short-term problem, we're r heading toward recession and it will be an other 2 to 4 years before economy will start improving. Those billion of dollar is a short term solution. BoA stock was worth $40 a share on Feb 5th 2008, it worth $4 today. You do the math.

The Carolina Panthers and I said Carolina, which consist of North and South Carolina fans, is located in the largest city out of both states (Charlotte, NC). There are alot of fan in both states that love this team, and I am one of them ( I live in Raleigh, NC) as long as this organization stays competative year after year, I don't see it going anywhere. So lets move on to another more important topic like next years season and what kind of moves we will make to have a shot at a superbowl...............

GO PANTHERS!!!!!

Stock shares tell you nothing about the true value of the company but more about analyst and stockholder opinion about the potential of the company particularly in the short term. Because it won't recover quickly it isn't worth putting in money now as there are "hotter prospects". But for those folks who have money and a longer term perspective it is a great value. One thing that might be true is that if it is this cheap it does make them more of a risk for acquistion due to a low stock price. Don't know any other bank doing that well though.

You are saying the best way to increase the stock price and maximize shareholder wealth is to just pick up and move to another city? I fail to see the logic in this.

Try collecting all of your thoughts and put them down in a logical format. It would help the rest of us idiots see your point as you are not making a lot of sense.

Can't believe I'm actually participating in this train wreck you call a thread.
