Think that AE will become a real NFL receiver next year?

Maybe it's because AE is a QB. Not a punt returner or WR.

No, he is not a QB. He WAS a qb in a small school. In the pros, he was never a QB candidate for any team. Not once. He will never be a NFL QB aside from the occasional wildcat. The faster the App alum realize this, the better off they will be and the less ill informed they will present themselves.

Yes. He is a QB. Hell of a lot better QB than anyone else on the Panthers. And when you get that through your mind the better off you will be. Quit being ignorant.

While I am in agreement that AE is not an NFL QB. I do believe Fox had no plans in getting him in the game. The guy has speed and is very dangerous in the second level. It isn't like they gave him many opportunities and he dropped every pass throw his way and proved he wasn't a WR. He never had the chance. Thomas and Clowney just showed Fox wasn't going to play AE.

We were out of it by our Bye week. Why not die with your rookies. Davidson was lost... Fox could give 2 $hits and though the players remained motivated Fox wasn't playing AE.

Why we will never know. I BELIEVE he had an issue with pick and would have rather had something else.

Well thank you CAVSCOUT for the three BAD rep entries this morning. Just because you don't agree with me. Your UNC tarhole insignia tells it all there on your site. Too bad that you are obviously a self centered opinionated individual that is very prejudiced.

AE wouldn't have survived at QB in the SEC, let alone the NFL.

The question isn't whether he would succeed there in the Pros (and he wouldn't), it's whether he can succeed at all. He's got a lot of physical tools, but so do a lot of guys who never made it in the big leagues.

There are two things that need to be determined. First, if he has the ball in space can he make the defenders miss and be the elusive, speedy playmaker he was in college?

Second, and this is pertinent only if the first is a yes, where can he play that will get him the ball in space a lot? He wasn't great as a punt returner last year, and he has yet to catch a ball in a real game. So maybe it's not where can he play, but it's a "will be be any good at that position?" type of question.

Again, unless he's still a playmaker in space, it's moot. But if he is, and if he can get the ball where he's effective, then no one will complain about where he was taken.

I agree with what you say.

You will never EVER know if you don't put him on the field. They could have had a couple of plays using Smitty as a decoy to put him in the open and see what he can do. We can bitch and moan all we want but to really know you have to put him on the field.

Yet another post to show how uneducated you are on many subjects. The insignia is from the 1/11 Cavalry unit that I was stationed with for the better part of 12 years defending you and your right to free speech. Some people just don't have the balls to put their lives on the line for their fellow countrymen though, do they?

Secondly, if you had taken the time to read any of my posts elsewhere on this site, you would have learned that I am an FSU fan, not a "tarhole' fan as you so inelegantly put it.

Thirdly, yes I am a self centered opinionated individual however not prejudiced. So you were half correct in that statement. At least you are not a complete moron, just half-brained.
