He played QB at AS.... hes a QB... maybe when training camp comes around and a new offense is installed he can compete for the job, all things being equal at that point.... I just think hes to small for the NFL but he can prove me wrong anytime he wants...

Funny how some of the people that want to get rid of Clausen think that AE is the next coming of Steve Smith....and AE wasn't good enough to get on the field.

Oh, and now pro-AE fans will say that Fox is the reason that AE failed but they refuse to say that Fox is the reason Clausen failed

The reality is we should bring in more competition for WR and QB. If neither make the team next year then so be it. But does anyone here think that if we dump AE that another team will pick him up? I don't.

Hurney didn't trade the 33rd pick, he traded a second rounder. No one, including the panthers, bellichick, or anyone on this board for that matter, thought it'd be first pick of the second.

Lafell, Gettis, Edwards. This is why I think if we are going to go after Green, we trade Smith (which apparently has to happen before the draft?). Otherwise Edwards won't be doing sh**. Might as well trade him then.

We can't trade Smith until a new CBA is in place as far as I am aware.

Too soon to give up on Edwards or Clausen, in my opinion.

Mind you, that doesn't mean I'm ready to predict breakout years. This season we'll see what both can do with new, and hopefully better, coaching. Once that's in the books, we'll have a much better idea of what we have and how to proceed.
