No!!! it was a very, very, very bad mistake by the Panthers. It would be one thing if he was actualy tall like Randle El but he is small as crap and has the body capacity of a twig.

Why do people think Fox just chose to keep AE out because he didn't like him? AE wasn't the only one Hurney drafted for the future. Clausen was also drafted hoping to be our QB of the future. Why would Fox bench Moore in week two for Clausen if he was trying to stop Hurney's picks from seeing the field? If one thing, Fox has always been consistent with how he does things. If he was going to keep AE out simply because Hurney drafted him for the future, why would he not do that for all the other picks?

When Hurney even says "You’re talking about him having a year to develop and a year to train at the wide receiver position and returns or however we decide to use him. Hopefully in a year we’ll see that it was the right thing to do." Key word being in a year. That suggests even Hurney wasn't expecting him to play much.

Yes Fox played Clausen. Moore didn't look good at the first of the year and Fox wanted to see something different. After all, Clausen was being touted as the second coming of JC himself. The only question was how far Clausen could walk on water. It was even admitted during the UNC football players investigation that some sports writers were paid to write good things about Clausen and rate him higher than they normally would have. Some writers were saying that we got the number one pick of QB's in Clausen.

By the way, you have to be this tall to throw above those six foot five linemen.....no. Hardly any of the QB's are as tall as the linemen. It's about getting the ball off fast without telegraphing it, what kind of release you have, and trying to pick passing lanes when available. Makes a huge difference. Clausen just never had any of those traits.

Yes, after several games of actual playing experience, they did. They both got a lot more gametime experience than Edwards did. Not that I am convinced Edwards will contribute, but I am willing to wait another year.

AE is on the team for the next couple of seasons at least, so I'm still trying to process why nearly one year later some people are still crying and making ridiculous demands/assumptions about the entire ordeal.

It's fairly common knowledge at this point that draft position has no direct outcome on a player's performance in the NFL. #1 or #160.

If a drafted rookie's contributions to the team have a significant impact, then he should start. Otherwise I'm all for giving them a year or three to learn.

I would love to see some of the people on this board go to their job site and break down into tears or rage quit when people start saying, "Hm... You know, we could've hired them three months later than we did. Terrible employee! FIRE THEM!" while the Huddler is still in job training.

Unfortunately we didn't get to see enough of him playing to have any idea how he will pan out. I really hope so though.

Fox gave him a fair chance to be a punt returner. He definately screwed that up. But I think he will get another chance at that this next year. As for wr, hes too far down on the depth chart
