Think that AE will become a real NFL receiver next year?

I always want players on our team to step up and play well. Why would you want players to suck. The more players we have that don't play well the worse our team becomes. So using simple logic I want our players to play well because that most likely will result in a good team.

I think he has the talent but who knows what kind of work he's putting in. He got a pass from me last year but he needs to step up this year. That being said; it also really depends on who we draft, if SS stays and he still has Gettis and Lafell to contend with. I give it 50/50.

Do you think Fox gave him a fair chance?

If we draft a receiver, he might not have much of a shot at WR (but probably will with returns still).

but if we go into next year with Gettis, Lafell and Smith as our top 3, he'll have a shot to compete for the 4th spot and he very well might win it.

When he gets the ball in his hands he is exciting and I think he could really surprise some people this coming year with an OC that opens it up.

I don't expect much of him this year but I do expect him to show some flashes. You have to remember that most WRs take a year or 2 to adjust to the NFL, and that's assuming they played the position in college. Tack on another year for AE.

    • Oh good grief. You can give him credit for the good without just glossing over the bad and pretending like we were not absolute hot garbage at certain points last season when the games still mattered and people were just complaining to complain. Make no mistake. While we hold Morgan in regard and like him a great deal because he's a former franchise player. He has to prove he can build this team through the draft just as much as any Panthers coach or player has to prove it out there on the field. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging these plain truths.

    • I can feel you on most of that but pussy lol this a far stretch the nfl is for the elite athletes a combination of strength, speed, with size so a rookie get handled off the line isn’t a major red flag. Steve got handled early in his career his skills improved that’s what’s expected from X and that’s not a far stretch year two stronger more ready to handle press or jams more comfortable with the offense bigger impact. And he can still do those things you recommend going across the middle or quick screens especially with a field stretcher on the field. You have to respect Goldens speed he could easily stack DB for a bomb any play and if you know Canales he wants deep throws to be a staple we need a speedster who can really play WR not just a fast guy.
