Panthers have youngest coordinators in the league

Age don't mean a thing unless you are good at what you do.

Some of us adhere to the song lyrics that say we aren't as good as we once were, but we are as good once as we ever were.

Seriously, though young or old isn't the main factor as long as they still have enthusiasm for the game and want to teach the young guys what they need to know. Fox wanted guys who could already perform and wasn't willing to let them make mistakes and learn. Guys like Goodson were relegated to the bench for a season over a fumbling problem which most coaches say can be taught and avoided pretty quickly. Guys like Barnidge had 12 catches for 20 yards a reception last year and had none this year at all. If anything not developing players was a primary reason Fox is gone.

Very true, but we must all be cautious in thinking, "Wow, they're young and got so many years left ahead of them! They have so much time to improve and get better! Just imagine us in 3-5 years!". That goes for players and coaches. This isn't college basketball. These aren't freshmen. The NFL is about right NOW, not three years from now. If you're good, you're good. And I'm speaking in general here. I hope all of our hires, and starters, are ready to go and are winners.

I agree. That is the reason that the old "lets throw the season to get Luck" is so ridiculous. Rivera will be out to prove the Panthers made the right choice and all the players jobs will be on the line with no one getting a pass this year.

We won't know until the season starts but so far the coaches appear qualified and many are ex-players. That seems to be a theme with Rivera.
