Because they're just boring. I think the NFL should go to 1 preseason game just for the guys that are on the roster bubble to show their worth. The Vets hate them I hate them and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. Every hit your starters take in the preseason could potentially knock them out of the season before it even starts. Give me less meaningless preseason games and keep the regular season at 16 games please.

for some reason your avatar pic just looks sick, nice!!!

Some regular season games can be just as boring as preseason games. If there are two sorry teams playing each other (Say the Browns vs Bills), that can be a very boring game to watch. Plus at the end of the season where teams wrap up playoff position, they rest their starters and it turns out to be something of an exibition for that team. Ultimately the system is perfect the way it is, and Goodell and the owners shouldn't mess with that. If I did change anything, it would be not having two teams play five preseason games while the rest of the league only play four.

At least we agree that the H.O.F. game is a waste of time.

Bump Madden, here's to the return of ESPN 2K Football in 2013.:D (Some of you probably don't even know or remember the 2K series.)

Actually I don't really play NFL games, it was just the right thing to say. But for the record the only ones I ever DID play was the 2k series. I played Madden maybe once or twice at friends houses and never did really like it(2k's HITS were so much better and Madden, though some people favored the momentum and physics, just always felt sluggish in comparison). But EA owns NFL exclusivity so you can forget about 2k(though I did hear there's a pending lawsuit on EA for that so keep your fingers crossed).

Oh I do, I still play 2K5 from time to time. Great game.

You and me both brother.:patriot:

Btw: One last thing I hate about an 18 game season, is that breaking any kind of record would mean significantly less than breaking a record within 16 games. We might have 5 or 6 2,000 yard rushers in an 18 game season. (assuming they play the whole season) Also would have 10 or 15 qbs passing for over 5,000 yards. They would mean nothing.
