Didn't he coach Garrard and Leftwitch? Those guys are/were pretty decent.

So he's the perfect guy to help us develop Cam Newton... He has a history working with those tricky black Qb's.

Then with us picking up Vince Young in the off season soon, Coach Rivera wanted to be sure he had someone in place who could handle the job.

I believe that Garrard was known as a good 15-20 yard pocket guy with potential, and an 80.5 rating before Shula got there. Next season he was third in the league in rating, and he's since developed a nice long ball. So maybe this is the right guy for Jimmy.

And regardless of who else you might want, Shula is going to look like a genius after two years of Scherer.

Oh yeah, but I thought that was just him showing Williams how to prepare for a game. Lifting in the weight room, stay focused, etc. I thought you were saying he was going over routes, how to hit the hole, etc.
