Office Debate: Best Comedy of the Decade

Family Guy and south park do it literally every day.

oh and Team America was one of the funniest movies of the last decade.

Good catch with Team America, agreed.

family Guy and South Park aren't feature length films, and can get away with things, IMO, because it is "just a cartoon".

I just can't think of a movie since Saddles that went so far with the race-based humor.

And they did it well. I never noticed malice or cheapness once in the bajillion times I've watched it, and I wonder if that could ever be done again.

Just doubt it.

i don't disagree with you, i just think it's more of a function of the demand for lowest common denominator comedy than political correctness.

70s icons like the multiple Monty Pythons, Animal House, Slap Shot, The Jerk, Blazing Saddles/Young Frankenstein, MASH, Arthur, and the Blues Brothers always get mentioned.

A much less popular but equally hilarious movie is Kentucky Fried Movie.

Never gets any mention but better than anything from this past decade.
