cant get any kind of new talent till a cba is agreed on or until april during the draft. this is the only thing that really matters right now.

I think it's better to go ahead and have our staff lined up now, and be watching the March deadline for the CBA.

Because, when it's all said and done, I want us to be a team that's already set from a coaching perspective, so that if the CBA is done before the deadline (which I think it will be), we'll be in prime position to start picking the players that we want.

You can't polish a turd though. It seems like some people have it in their heads that we could have the next Aaron Rodgers if only we get the right QB coach, but it doesn't work that way.

The talent and work ethic of the individual player trumps everything.

The guy has been a damn good QB coach. We get him and I think he brings a lot to the table in that regard. I like the fact he has been a TE coach as well, he knows the importance in the QB/TE relationship.
