After finally getting through it that's the first thing I thought.....why for the love of God couldn't somebody hold the dog and let the poor guy in the boat.....

Wait, wait, wait...I'm pretty sure I remember how this goes, although it's been years. It's tricky because there are always two things that can't be left alone but the boat can only carry you plus one other thing.

So, you take the chicken and leave the bag of corn and the fox, since the fox won't eat the corn. Then you go back and get the fox and bring it across, but you take the chicken back with you so the fox won't eat it. Then, you leave the chicken but take the bag of corn to the other side and leave it with the fox, who again, will not eat it. Then you go back and get the chicken. Done.
