Vince Young a possibility/opportunity for us perhaps???

Disagree with a QB who just finished his 5th year in the league can't have more potential than Clausen or Moore. I think its totally possible VY was(or even possibly)is on the UP swing in his career. I personally think its just as likely if not more likely that Clausen or Moore are not going to peak out even close to what we've seen from VY thus far.

Please don't think I'm trying to proclaim VY the answer at QB, because I'm not. I just think he still has the potential to be a top 10 QB in the league, and I think he should be "considered" here. Obviously we'd have to put him up against all options... but I think he'd have better prospects than what is currently on the roster, with the upside of potentially being able to un-tap the talent that was a former rookie of the year.

How many teams have signed Terrell Owens thinking "but we can fix him"?

I agree with you I really do. I think there are better options than VY. I personally like Bulger, even though he sounds like he likes playing safety net in Baltimore. But I just don't think VY's best years have been played out... I don't think he's a guy you can build your franchise around for long term. But can you build one around a 33 year old Bulger?

I can't stress how much of a reach I think VY is. But I also can push the fact that I think he is a guy that can come in and win you some football games and be THE guy for a few years if not more if he has his head together. But even that is under the right circumstances..

The TO situation isn't the best comparison IMO. TO has been made a scapegoat his entire career.

When did Volek, Orton or any other free agent whine about being booed, throw their pads in the stands, get stuck in the middle of a suicide watch or wind up in a situation where nobody on their team or coaching staff wanted to keep them?

We need a guy with leadership skills. Young needs a team that can afford to take a chance on him redeeming himself.

Our needs and his don't match up...at all :nonod:

Young is a good QB...

...He is NOT a leader nor would he be a good mentor for the other QB's

I think I was the first on the board to site the risk/reward of bringing in VY.I thought the talent he had with the possibity that getting cut from Tenn.may humble him enough where a good coach may be able to help him.

After hearing the interview it did not appear he even had a clue.As Mr Scot noted we need someone that can demonstrate leadership. He did not even seem to recognize that it was more about leadership skills than a personal thing between he and Fisher. How can someone proclaim they are an elite QB when he pitches a fit throwing his pads into the stands and disrespecting your coach.
