Xbox 360 Gaming Headphones

Looking at them now i think maybe the A-40's cover your whole ear and the a30's sit on your ear. I don't know much about those cause they weren't available when i got the 40's. Game Informer did a review on them last year, when the 30's came out, and preferred them over the 40's because of the size. They said they couldn't tell a sound difference.

I prefer the A40's for gaming as they have less bass and you can hear the sounds of the games more clearly. Some people prefer to A30's for music and movies as they have more bass, the on the ear design and they are less heavy for when walking outside with them. The main difference is the bass and if you prefer over the ear (A40) or on the ear (A30).

The new A40's have upgraded bass. I use the Sennheiser PC350's.

I'd stick with the turtle beaches, unless you plan on buying the mixamp from Astro to make either one of these compatible for voice/game on the xbox 360.

All the people I play with on line have some upgraded headphones and I want some too.

My bro and most use some form of turtle beaches and one friend has Trittons. Wonder what your thoughts on these were?

I need something easy to use, 100.00 range, as few wires as possible and good sound quality and durability.

I have a permanent hearing loss on both ears, so the finite details don't really apply. I have used turtle beaches and I can hear much more and like them, just trying to keep my options open. Can't find a good place to review and compare.
