Heard Steven Tyler talking about this on Howard Stern's show Tuesday. I think he's going to be pretty good on it, and might make it a little more watchable.

It won't be as bad w/o Simon as some think. Tyler has the credibility to judge. J.Lo is the closest thing to Paula thats out there. A little less batpoo crazy, but still that dancer/singer that used to have a big singing career. Only J.Lo is actually more relevant...i think. And Randy is still Randy.

damnit im sick

Saw him on Letterman a few nights back and when David asked him if he was taking grief from his rocker buddies he was like" Any of them would kill to have this gig"

Been a fan since the first season and said I was done after I heard Simon was leaving but I might give this a couple of episodes to change my mind.

Howard was bugging him to tell him how much money he was making from AI. Finally, Howard guessed $12 million, because Steven wouldn't say, and Steven starting laughing and said, "a lot more."

Are they going to have "guest judges" to make up the 4th?

no, there will be no 4th judge, or mentors this season (that was my understanding). I heard they will be living in the same house as well. I forgot all the changes they made, but there will also be one (or two i forgot) less round than last season.

The same house? JLo should be very afraid.

    • Yeah but jumping up in the draft to get a project #2/3 WR is just plain not smart. I am down on XL because the thought was that he could be a potential #1 WR and he has been anything but that so far. Also, the idea of him as a slot is even more upsetting because you pass on several more productive slot guys(McConkey being the most obvious) that were TREMENDOUSLY more NFL ready. I was not a fan of the XL move at the time and I am not a fan of the decision in short term hindsight either. He is just simply going to have to be a guy that proves it on the field to me. McMillian was my #1 WR in this draft and I was a pro-McMillian guy. However, he isn't gonna get treated with baby gloves either. We are in the era of rookie WR's putting up 1k+ yd seasons with regularity. He's going to(barring injury) have to be one of the top 2 or 3 WR's in this class in terms of production. And that's being very generous to him. He really needs to be THE guy from this class. It isn't like he is gonna have a lot of guys taking catches away from him.
    • Thought this was an interesting moment of candor. See the 2:00 min mark. TD said he made the decision that he wanted T-Mac as our 1st round pick back in January. Dan chimed in and said he made the decision early as well (indicating the same time frame).

"I like contact and playing the physical sport. "Playing soccer, I was strong, quick and loved headers so looking back at it I was playing the wrong sport.
