Draft day comes...

"With the first overall pick, the Carolina Panthers select..... NO ONE."

No one in this draft class deserves #1, no team will trade with us, and JR won't pay someone 50-60 million.

That's it. Panthers will simply bypass their selection this year.

Now we can all stop bitching about if they will trade or select someone.

Boy I bet you used an amazing algebraic equation to find that out.:prrr:

LOL...funny thread, but it does inspire a thought.

Let's say the Panthers DID allow their pick to not go in on time. You do realize they can submit at any point afterwards, but here's the thing. There's a ranking system of worth of the picks. Let's say the Panthers allow that 3000 pt pick (1 overall) to not get picked until say pick 5 or so. Can't recall what that value is, but let's say it's 2500. A difference in 500. What if the draft system gave you an immediate comp pick for the drop you chose to go.

Haven't thought it completely through, but would make for a complex draft setup.
