Matt Moore: I would love to stay in Carolina

I still find that logic funny.

a poor showing week 1 somehow defines him that he can't handle pressue? Maybe he just had a shitty day.....maybe a poor gameplan also didn't help (Fox admitting they want to go pass heavy to catch them off guard). Moore is who he is. A mesh of the guy we saw in 07, 09, and 10. Overall that ain't bad.

Do you not understand the words that were coming out of HIS MOUTH????

Nobody made this up Matt said it himself. Damn why is this so hard 2 understand???

here's how I view it. If the Panthers do not get a QB in the draft, there's a real good chance Moore makes it to the roster. I don't know that there is any real reason to keep Pike around unless he really shows something in camp. We have very little invested in Pike because of his draft position, but he's likely to go to camp. So is Clausen.

It would be VERY strange for the Panthers not to go into camp with 4 QBs. It would also be very strange to have only 1 guy who has been in the league for more than a year. Billy Volek looks likely based on all the Charger connections. That would leave us one other spot, if Clausen and Pike are also going. Matt Moore easily fits that spot because he would be an inexpensive option who has had some pretty good games and a couple bad ones. The bad ones all came in a TERRIBLE offensive system, where he still showed an ability to move the ball down the field and get it to playmakers.

I don't expect us to find a franchise quarterback this year, and I don't think the FO will either unless Clausen impresses in camp.

If Clausen impresses in camp, he's going to start no matter what veteran is brought in. But the reality is that is unlikely to happen.

Now, if we end up with a QB in the draft it could change things a lot, depending on when they are taken etc... but for now, I see scenarios where Moore does return to the Panthers next year.

FYI, he will get interest from other teams if he heals well and he will have a team. He may not end up a starter, but teams are going to look at how our offense did under its 3 starters, see how abysmal it was, and then look at how Moore did in his previous starts and seriously consider him.

As a starter, Moore has gone for 16 TDs/11 INTs and has a record of 7-6 as a starter. He'll probably be the best cheap QB with some game experience available.

Say whatever?? Point still remains when he was named "THE MAN" and people expected good things from him he **&&&$##@Q@ in his pants.

He did poo his pants. For one game. But he was also taking a season's worth of hits and was concussed and we still played him the next week. Moore should have been starting for us a long time ago, 2nd half of the ARZ game. Always got the poo end of the stick with Fox and Jake around, they were just "professional" about it.

also let's be real. Moore didn't break down and go "I CANT HANDLE THE PRESSURE OH GOD ITS TOO MUCH" in an interview. someone was like "hey dude you think it's fair to say the pressure got to you?" and he said "Yeah maybe, but I think it's better now"

I think the pressure DID get to him in that game and also later in the season, but NOT because he is some basketcase like people here are making him out to be, but because he is NOT able to carry a team for multiple games in a row when the OL is bad and his receivers are inexperienced. Who is?? Come on. It'd be nice to get that guy but we aren't going to in this FA pool and we are unlikely to draft a QB.

Use his spot to bring in a veteran. Keep the youngins

again. how many youngins?

We've got 2 QBs signed. Teams carry 3 in the regular season, sure, but they bring 4 to camp usually, and even if we haven't always it seems like a good idea to do it this year when we have NO idea who will start.

This is what I took away from it. The guy asked him and his quote was "yeah I guess you could look back and say that" which is in no way what the Moore haters are making it out to be.

I'm out again...just had to give you props for being a logical and realistic Moore hater
