Laurence Maroney arrested in St. Louis for weapons charges

A NFL player and former local high school standout has been arrested by St. Louis police.

Laurence Maroney, 25, is being held on unlawful weapons charges and drug charges. News 4 confirms he and 3 other men were in a vehicle pulled over by officers late Monday night.

Maroney and his pub were on our ESPN radio affiliate. He talked a little about last night's incident - not really blaming the police for any wrongdoing in the whole thing, just seemed to preach patience, I guess. They already have the interview archived on their page
