Fox switching Broncos to 4-3

According to the Denver Post, former Falcons and Seahawks coach Jim Mora will likely take over as the Broncos' new defensive coordinator.

Mora was in town to interview Monday, and the meeting apparently went well. Mora turned around an abysmal 49ers defense under Steve Mariucci from 1999-2003 before head coaching stints in Atlanta and Seattle. Like head coach John Fox, Mora's background is in the 4-3 scheme, so the Broncos are in for yet another seismic shift on defense. Should Mora land in Denver, Dick Jauron would seem to be the favorite in Philadelphia.

Broncos don't have the players for 4-3... What an idiot.

could be problematic if we like fairley & want to trade down to get him. i think fox would want bowers but find it hard to turn down a potential inside force

not problematic but, stupid. If you trade down it can't be with the hopes of getting just one player. Trading down allows you to get value for the pick and then selecting the BPA at what ever position of need you might have.

Another example of Fox's refusal or inability to adapt and change his philosophy to fit his players strength's

This post is another example of stupid fans that don't know what they are talking about, but are gonna turn it into a negative spin against fox. I get it, ya don't like fox..but stop postiong out of your ass.

If you had watched the broncos the last few years, you would have know their ill fated attempt to switch to a 3-4 was NOT good. they never really had the players to play it.

Fox switching them back to a 4-3 is the best way for the broncos to see defensive improvement.

Of course you knew all this, right? Right?

Stfu.

another example of a sour losing fan not knowing what they are talking about. its not like he is trying to change a top flight defense, they werent strong at all at the 3-4 especially w/o Dumervill. Let your weak emotions go already.

In the age of Twitter, Facebook, iPads, iPods and smartphones for every occasion, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen turned to a time-honored way to promise some of his team's most dedicated fans that better days are ahead.

Bowlen recently wrote a letter to the Broncos' season-ticket holders, promising "that we will exceed your expectations going forward" as well as "restore the culture of winning, trust and integrity."

The letter, which team officials say was written before John Fox was formally hired as head coach, was included in the ticket-renewal packages that some season-ticket holders began to receive this week.

The Broncos are coming off a 4-12 season in 2010 and the stormy 22-month tenure of Josh McDaniels as head coach. McDaniels was fired Dec. 6 with four games remaining in the 2010 season. He was 11-17 as Denver's coach.

In the letter, Bowlen called the 2010 season "the most trying for me in 27 years of ownership."

Bowlen also wrote:

"There is a Bronco Way that exists and it entails success on the field, honoring tradition and maintaining the highest level of character.

"We are committed to embracing those qualities and others that have made the Denver Broncos one of the most successful (franchises) in all of professional sports. I pledge to you that we will exceed your expectations going forward and put the right people in place to lead this team, beginning with the addition of John Elway."
