Honeymoon spots

We're really looking all over. We're from SoCal so we just wanna get out of here. We thought about Italy for a couple weeks but like I said in the opening I don't want to have a schedule or have to sight see if I don't want to.

I know it's the offseason in the Bahamas and it's still hot but what are the chances of a storm/rain? Pretty high?

I go to St Maarten twice a year. Funny is that it rains more in Dec/Jan than in June/July. SXM is my most favorite place ever and I travel a LOT.

Been to the Riu in Aruba, it was nice but I am not a huge Aruba fan. Atlantis is nice like Salty said.

Just got back from Aruba and also not a huge fan. If you're doing the whole "resort experience" and want to feel like you're in the US but with pretty beaches, go for it. But if I do the resort experience thing, there are other islands for much less money.

I prefer an island with some sense of culture, where you know you're somewhere else. I cannot recommend St. Maarten enough.

Yeah if you are on a budget "all-inclusive" is the way to go. Check out Apple Vacation, Vacation Express or Fun Jet Vacations for deals or ideas for places to go. AAA has a great website to see what different packages are out there too.

I can beat any of those sites, guaranteed. www.robinm.rovia.com. One of my friends joined a travel club for LOTS of money and my site beat their travel club by $400. Don't use the self-search feature but go to the top right of the page and select Request Quote. We have people do the search for you and get back to you - you'll get the best price of anywhere.

I gotta be honest, going to the Caribbean in July would not be my ideal place to escape. I, like you, am still very used to the mild climates of SoCal and my beach house on Coastal NC is brutal in July in the mid-high 80's. We usually travel to the islands in February-March. In July we head the opposite direction...

You might want to try getting a little farther north of the Equator... say Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Belize...

Disagree. I was in St. Maarten the past two years in July and actually was chilly coming from NC. It was in the high 80s/low 90s but the water prevents it from feeling so hot. It was humid but being from NC, it was less humid there.

Bahamas are the same latitude as Fort Lauderdale so much hotter than further south.

But is it "all-inclusive". I was just naming travel agents sites off the top of my head. AAA gives you a good idea of what you get and what there is to do.

We do options and you can get quotes for all-inclusive and non-AI. Depends on what you want. I always put it in the comments section that I want quotes for both and get it.
