Excitement

Does it feel like a new team even though we have the same players? I feel like this is a totally different team and not a single game has been played. The new coaches coming in are big names and could be total busts but right now they have our fan base excited.

I think with a blitzing defense we will need help in the secondary. We do not have a corner that I believe can play man. Gamble is not what he was and Marshall is not a true cover corner.

I am just plain excited.

If having an aggressive D is the case, I'm excited to see some more blitz packages. I don't plan on seeing our CBs playing 5+ yards off every play. I think Marshall and Gamble will be better being more physical at the line and not just giving up 5 yards off the start (I can only hope).

I agree. I'm excited to see some change in philosophy.

Gamble is good on bump and run.. I don't think he'll be as bad as you all think..

gamble is frustrating to me. possibly the way i look at his is still my expectations of what he was in his first 2-3 years. since then he has gotten worse it seems. he still has plenty of balls come his way but doesn't put have any takeaways compared to early in his career. maybe he just has not progressed or maybe regressed.

I'm excited because with this defensive staff and the talent on that side of the ball will give a dominant defense if we stay healthy. This will allow the young guys on offense more time to develop and take off some pressure. If we get Chud and Gruden on the offensive staff, I will be pumped.

We definitely have a chance for a quick turn around. Maybe 7-9 next year followed by a winning season?

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
