Called Directv to cancel because I have been wanting an HD DVR for my Bedroom and trying to save some money.

Got one for free, including 150 bux off for the year+ SHowtime/starz for 6 months free + plus the whole home dvr service installed for free.

I just canceled DirecTV. They offered some premium channels for free and HD free for a year and $250 credit to wards the purchase of a new receiver. I went with AT&T U-Verse. I got the fastest Internet speeds they offer, all of the premium channels, VOD, HD on every box, one DVR that can play recorded shows in other rooms, for about $6 a month more. I'm in a 6 month contract to get $25 off. After that, when they offer discounts I can call and get the same discounts.

So far I like it. I just hate learning where all my channels are. Keep checking, they might just have to run the fiber optic lines out there.

well I talked to the ATT guy when he came to work on my phone problem I had. said we prolly wont get u verse anytime soon where im at because of running that wiring. I had to sign a new 2 year contract with directv. maybe after that runs out we will have it in our area
