the D-line was average. the linebackers were weak imo, Bradley is the only all star. the secondary is TRASH. Besides Asante Samuel, no play makers.

and with a bunch of injuries and players who didnt fit like Ernie Sims, McDermott was not given much to work with. Loving our side of the D so far.

this is a very good coaching staff we have put together. i look forward to seeing how aggressive our lb's will be. i think td and beason will really look good in a pressure/blitzing defense.

Rivera will run the D mostly.

Rivera overlooking the defense is different than him running it.. McDermott isn't going to be a high paid ball boy, he will be calling the plays during the game.. that means he'll have a high responsibility for the defense..

maybe this is just me nitpicking the definition of "run" and "overlook".. but Rivera won't be dictating every little thing.. He didn't bring a DC like McDermott in here for nothing..
