Are we really that bad off at TE?

Rayzor I usely agree with you but when a player we all respect like Moose says "that he feels the TE Rivera is looking for is on the roster". I have 2 look at the guys we have differently. Dante has shown Flashes and Gary really has had a shot because he's not a great blocker like King is. Moose said at practice these dudes would make plays and then game time would get little 2 no looks at all.

Gary is really fast and can get down the middle and we all seen Dante make some great catches. I can't wait 2 see what the new OC will think about our TE situation.

i'm just saying that we shouldn't be limited to those three guys in the selection process just because they are here. get the best guy for the job regardless of where he comes from. if rivera thinks one of these guys is the best for the job, then fine. i'm just not at all convinced that any of them are the best options out there and is what he has in mind.

I just don't get what has been holding Rosario back... the assumption has always been that he's a poor blocker, but he's our backup FB so we know he's physical enough to block.

Hopefully this new staff can get the most out of Rosario.

Same here. That being said, I'll trust Chudzinski to make the right decision regarding our tight end situation.

Gantt believes Barnidge has the best chance to be that "all around" threat among the existing guys.

My belief is that our next starting TE isn't on roster yet.

Please no @ Shockey. He's older and is ALWAYS hurt and I hate his attitude, please no.

If we sign anyone, get Lewis from the Jags or Zach Miller, either would be great.

I think Barnidge could be our guy if we don't sign someone. When we drafted him most people though we got a steal in this guy. But I expect us to make a play at some FA TE's, mainly because of our OC and his ability to mold TE's, it would be a waste not to bring in someone like that.

Give Rosario a chance to work in Chud's offense he might have a "Gates like" role in the system which I believe he can succeed in. Give him one more year. Remember next year is a rebuilding year. It gives us a chance to see for one last time if certain guys belong on the team.

Rosario will need a new contract to be given another chance. Both he and King are FAs. Barnidge is our only TE under contract.

Resign Rosario. He has some potential with better usage. With better coaching and such he could do well. BUT... I would still like us to throw some money at Zach Miller or Marcedes Lewis.

An elite/great TE can be a fine #2 receiver. Getting Lewis/Miller, along with Smith and Gettis/Lefell would give whoever the QB is some nice targets.
