Running the ball and playing great defense still counts for more than a lot of people seem to think. If you can do that and have a franchise QB too, that is the ultimate goal.

this sums up the thread...

Defense, run the ball, and a franchise QB..

you can't win without all 3..

and good special teams play..

the better your QB, the less you have to build around him because you can get the most out of the talent you do have..

the worse your QB, the more threats (cap space) you need on offense.. unless you draft home runs often..
